Wondering if the Frozen ride EPCOT attraction is worth the line? Well, despite long wait times (definitely get a lightning lane Genie + reservation), I sure think so! It’s not much of a thrill ride, and is one of my favorite attractions in the Norway pavilion. Let me show you why…

What is the Frozen ride in EPCOT like?
Frozen Ever After at Epcot is a Frozen-themed ride that takes guests through the kingdom of Arendelle…
Where Anna and Elsa – along with other popular Frozen characters you’d expect (like Olaf and the Trolls) – are seen in audio-animatronics form.
There is music and a storyline.
And on the ride you’ll enjoy a stunning view of Arendelle’s Winter in Summer Celebration.
What you ride in
The vessel for this attraction in the EPCOT Norway Pavilion is a fast-paced boat ride, mostly in the dark.
Is Frozen a thrill ride?
In the end, since you’re basically on some sort of flume, the boat turns around and goes backwards during a small-ish drop where you could get slightly wet.
If you’re fine with the Pirates of the Caribbean ride in Magic Kingdom, then I’d guess you’d do fine on this ride! I don’t find it TOO thrilling, personally.
Things to do near the Frozen ride in Epcot

After the frozen ride try some Norwegian food and drinks in the Norway EPCOT pavilion…
Near the Frozen ride, you can find snacks like the famous Kringla sweet pretzels, lefse, school bread, viking coffee (cocktail), and a Norwegian beer stand.
2. Meet Frozen characters
Snap a photo when you meet Anna and Elsa in the Norway Pavilion at Royal Sommerhus.
Or book a reservation to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner with Disney Princesses in Norway…
You’ll find it by looking for Book Princess Storybook Dining at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall…
3. Head to the Mexico pavilion
The Mexico pavilion is very close, and The Land pavilion where you can cool off for hours and enjoy food and rides like Soarin’ is just 10-15 minutes away.
4. Shop for Frozen ride gifts

Is the Frozen ride original to Norway pavilion?
No, in the ‘80s when the Norway pavilion opened, Frozen the movie didn’t exist. It was previously a viking themed boat ride and has since become a must-visit attraction in EPCOT.
