I did have one BIG issue with our stay, which cost us $700 MORE… and a story about how my toddler was to sleep alone… down the hall… in his own room?? (some minor venting ahead!)

Details on my somewhat negative experience with reserving rooms below…

FYI, check if the Orlando Signia Hilton is under construction…

When I went in September 2022, the front entrance and back portion of the hotel was entirely under construction.

The project looked large, so I expect continual construction for a while, but obviously don’t know for sure.

It looks like it will be beautiful when it’s done.

See what to do your first day at Disney World...

Don’t count on “guaranteed” joined rooms… UGH!

Despite going to great lengths to make sure our expensive stay at this very nice resort was going to be “perfect” – we ended up the first day in a pickle.

Somehow, even though the person at the front desk knew there was a note for adjoining rooms / connected rooms, he placed my toddler’s room DOWN THE HALL, not connected to our adult room.

    See funny Disney World quotes...

SO – Make sure your room is confirmed with the specifics that you’re looking for.

Even if you’ve booked a “guaranteed” room online, call prior to your arrival to ensure the exact room you’ve booked is saved for you.

WARNING: negative review for Signia Hilton Orlando

I have to say the resort was clean and comfortable... but we did have an issue.

We did not get our guaranteed joined rooms on a recent visit, and this was after rebooking the week prior and paying $700 more to guarantee this accommodation.

Apparently no such thing exists, so I am not sure why the agent on the phone had me rebook my reservations...

Signia Bonnet Creek Hilton Orlando pool view room

We did not get refunded for the discrepancy as our previous room booking was erased from the system…

So we paid $700 more only to have to move rooms during our stay, taking time out of our trip.

We got a free breakfast voucher, great, but we ended up in a room with toilet problems…

So our magical Disney stay offsite could have been a little more magical…

Plan for Signia Hilton Orlando amenities…

Signa offers a gym that you can use to exercise as well as a full pool with a slide and a lazy river.

Lazy river pool at Signia Hilton

You can definitely have a rest day at the hotel if desired.

View of Lazy river pool at Signia Hilton from guest room
Off to the right, in the distance, you can see Disney World from this Signia Orlando room.

The lazy river is so much fun.

There’s also a waterslide, but there’s a minimum height so not all kids will be able to use it.

I found it convenient that the Signia Hilton at Bonnet Creek has lifejackets for kids at the pool, which saves a lot of room in your suitcase!

Take advantage of the location next to Waldorf Astoria property

The hotel offers a shuttle to the neighboring Waldorf Astoria Orlando hotel as well as to all of the Walt Disney World theme parks and Disney Springs.

Head next door to check out upscale dining at the Waldorf and the casual Peacock Alley Waldorf Astoria bar.

If you’re a golfer, Signia by Hilton is right next to the Waldorf Astoria Golf Club.

My opinion of Signia by Hilton Bonnet Creek

This is a nice Walt Disney World hotel to stay at if you’re open to staying just outside of the park area.

Mixed feelings about staying at this Signia Orlando property

With that said, I left the Signia hotel with mixed feelings.

Unfortunately, my “guaranteed” connecting rooms were not actually guaranteed upon arrival which caused me to have to deal with the front desk employees more than I wanted to.

However, they were nice enough to figure out the mistake and fix it within 24 hours after arriving. Kudos to them for their assistance.

They even threw in a free breakfast ticket for what it’s worth ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

No warning on the construction of Signia Hilton in Orlando before arrival…

Signia Orlando was without warning under heavy construction during a recent September Disney trip.

This was not disclosed when I booked online. I wish that it was noted somewhere as I may have looked to stay elsewhere.

We had a hard time getting our stroller into various areas around the hotel, because the halls were narrow…

And the floors were uneven as they were laying down tile on the walking path at the same time…

    Now, enough with the negatives.

Benefits of staying offsite Disney at the Signia Hilton

Staying at Signia by Hilton Bonnet Creek did have a lot of positives.

Paying for parking at Hilton Signia Orlando

This hotel has onsite parking if needed at $32 per day for self park and $45 per day for valet service.

Shuttles to Disney World from Signia Hilton

This hotel offers a free shuttle bus to all of the Disney Parks, including Disney Springs.

    See the video...

The shuttle also picks up passengers at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando hotel too, so you could get off there if you want to explore that hotel’s dining options.

Quick golf cart rides to the Waldorf

The Signia valet team can also take you to the Waldorf via golf cart too. We did that and it was a ton of fun for our toddler to experience.

The Signia offers a lot of onsite family friendly activities too.

If you have a rest day built into your Disney vacation, you can spend it at the pool which has slides and a lazy river to float in.

    Gym at Signia Hilton

Finally, if you’re a gym buff and want to get a workout in during your Disney trip, the Signia has a fully equipped onsite gym on the lower level.

There are a few onsite dining options at the hotel which include fine dining and some fast / casual options.

    Restaurants at Signia Hilton Orlando

Food and drinks can be delivered to you on the pool deck if you’d like.

For kids, the Signia has an onsite arcade located near the side entrance next to the gift shop.

It’s a great way to keep the kids entertained.

    Dining at Signia includes…

    • La Luce - Italian country inspired
    • Beech - Food for at the pool
    • Zeta Asia - Sushi lounge
    • Harvest Bistro - Breakfast buffet + lunch / dinner quick sit and to-go options

Here are some dining options for the partner hotel, Waldorf Astoria Orlando…

    • Bull & Bear - Fine dining steakhouse
    • Myth Bar - Causal food & drink
    • Muse - Coffee bar
    • Peacock Alley - Croissant bar
    • Oscar’s Brasserie - Casual Breakfast
    • Aquamarine - Pool side food
    • The Clubhouse Grille - Lunch dining located at Waldorf Astoria Golf Club

Both hotels offer in-room dining, so you will have plenty of food options if you decide to stay in your hotel room.

    What is Signia by Hilton?

Signia by Hilton is the premier level hotel offered by the Hilton brand.

Signia brand hotels are usually found in heavily trafficked resort areas.

The one that I stayed at during my Disney World vacation was Signia by Hilton Bonnet Creek located on Bonnet Creek Resort Lane.

Where is Signia by Hilton Bonnet Creek located at Disney World?

You’ll find Signia by Hilton located 5 - 10 minutes outside of the Disney World parks.

The exact location is on Bonnet Creek Resort Lane where you’ll find five other resorts / hotels.

Find it southeast of all Disney World theme parks.

Other things near it include its sister hotel, Waldorf Astoria Orlando, five other non-Disney resorts / hotels, Disney parks and resorts like the Riviera Resort to name one.

You are also less than ten minutes away from Disney Springs.

Getting to Signia by Hilton Bonnet Creek

It’s a breeze getting to the Signia hotel.

Taking a rideshare service to Signia Orlando Hilton

If you arrive at any local airport, you can easily get to the Signia by rideshare or taxi within 30 - 45 minutes depending on traffic and weather.

You could also rent a car from MCO or SFB.

Taking MEARS connect to Hilton Orlando Signia Hotel

Alternatively, you could book a trip with Mears Connect which is a bus that takes passengers from MCO airport to local Disney Resorts / Hotels.

These rides need to be booked in advance.

    FAQs

Does Hilton Orlando do room service?

Yes, this hotel does offer room service from 6am - 11pm EST. We did not use it during our stay.

Disney dining tips from Jenna Loves Magic

Remember: for any sit-down dinner or character meal, I recommend to definitely book 60 days out, or whenever your Disney dining dates open.

If you’re staying on site, you can book dining reservations earlier as a perk.

Don’t have reservations? Check regularly during your trip, on the app, or walk up to the restaurant early in the day and request a day-of reservation. Disney reservations are often dropped day-of since sometimes people “hoard them”.

I once was a walk-up and was told there would be a 90 minute wait for a table at Steakhouse 71.

Not a problem, since it’s an interesting hotel to walk around and they have an arcade.

Anyways, within 5 minutes my reservation was ready because someone canceled. So you never know.

Also see my other favorites on this list of the best places to eat at Disney World. (coming soon)
