Wondering what to do at night in EPCOT with a family? See recommendations on what to ride, where to eat, and how to catch the fireworks at night based on our recent Disney World Orlando vacation.

See what to do during the morning in Epcot…
Example of what to do at night in Epcot with a family
I love when the stars come out at night in EPCOT and the fireworks light up the sky...
Here’s a look at the rides, attractions, fireworks, and food we were able to squeeze in just one night at Epcot.
We love to have a magical night at Epcot!
Some of our favorite things to do at night in Epcot are exploring the World Showcase at night for food and ride experiences.

Our night schedule for Epcot rides and activities
1. Decided where to reenter Epcot at night
We decided to enter Epcot from the main entrance near the big ball so we could tackle some rides in this area of the park first.
This Disney World trip was during the Epcot Food and Wine Festival…
2. Spaceship Earth was our first night in Epcot ride
We can’t get enough of the history of communication on the Spaceship Earth ride.
It’s family-friendly and at night on this particular day there was no wait when I checked the Disney App around 3 or 4 pm.
3. Checked out more Epcot rides
There were a few other rides we scoped out including Mission Space and Test Track, but at this time, not everyone in our group made the height requirements.
4. Located Space 220 in Epcot
The very in-demand Space 220 restaurant is right near Mission Space, so I went to check it out since we didn’t have dinner reservations yet.
Spoiler, I was able to score some reservations by waiting at 10am another day we visited Epcot park…
I’ll share a whole menu review of Space 220 in a future post.
5. Headed to the Mexico Pavilion in the World Showcase
The Mexico Pavilion is an easy area of Epcot to explore at night, because it’s pretty close to Spaceship Earth.
And there are plenty of things to do in this country.
You can eat dinner at Cantina De San Angel – that’s Mexican quick service food.
I recommend the taco trio and the rice bowl.
Before or after dinner, you can ride the Mexico Pavilion attraction, the Gran Fiesta Tour.

6. Watched Epcot fireworks from the lagoon
First we found a spot to watch the Epcot fireworks in the Mexico pavilion, near the quick service restaurant and outside the Mexico building.
Then, we were ready to call it a night, and headed out of Epcot through the main entrance.
We jumped on the Disney Skyliner at night, which is a spectacular way to watch Epcot fireworks from outside the park (if you can time it right, on most nights around 9-10pm).
And headed to Disney’s Pop Century Resort.
There we check out arcades.

Here’s a look at catching the fireworks after dark from outside Epcot park…
On most nights, around 9-10pm, you can end the day *with a bang* at Epcot in Walt Disney World! I'm talking about the fireworks displays that light up the whole sky.
My favorite place to watch them at the moment is from the Mexico Epcot Pavilion.
FAQs
Yes, you can leave Epcot and come back. Why would you? Well some people like to head back to the resorts to eat lunch or take a pool break. If you have little kids, you can take a break during your Epcot day to let young kids nap and recharge for activities and fireworks in Epcot at night.

Disney dining tips from Jenna Loves Magic
Remember: for any sit-down dinner or character meal, I recommend to definitely book 60 days out, or whenever your Disney dining dates open.
If you’re staying on site, you can book dining reservations earlier as a perk.
Don’t have reservations? Check regularly during your trip, on the app, or walk up to the restaurant early in the day and request a day-of reservation. Disney reservations are often dropped day-of since sometimes people “hoard them”.
I once was a walk-up and was told there would be a 90 minute wait for a table at Steakhouse 71.
Not a problem, since it’s an interesting hotel to walk around and they have an arcade.
Anyways, within 5 minutes my reservation was ready because someone canceled. So you never know.

Happy times planning your PM at Epcot park!
