My opinion of La Cantina de San Angel…

    • This restaurant is a great option if you’re in the Mexico Pavilion area.
    • PRO TIP - It’s only open for lunch and dinner.
    • The counter service outdoor dining is nice particularly at night.
    • If you time it correctly, you can grab a table facing the water so you can watch the Epcot fireworks.

Check out Toplino’s Terrace, where you can have a character meal with Disney characters…

Where is La Cantina de San Angel located at Disney World?

You’ll find this restaurant located at Disney’s Epcot park.

Find it in the Mexico Pavilion section of Epcot which is close to the World Showcase.

Other things near it include the Test Track ride, Frozen Ever After Attraction, and La Hacienda in the Mexico Pavilion shopping area.

Getting to La Cantina de San Angel

You can get to La Cantina through either entrance of Epcot.

If you enter Epcot through the main front entrance, you’ll pass the Epcot ball on the left side which will take you past Connections Eatery.

Continue past the Test Track attraction and then you’ll be at the Mexico Pavilion.

If you’re coming via Disney Skyliner, you’ll enter the park through the International Gateway entrance.

From there, you’ll pass through the different world pavilions until you get to the World Showcase lagoon section of the park.

Continue right then the Mexico Pavilion will be right there.

    FAQs

Is La Cantina de San Angel a quick service restaurant?

Yes, this restaurant is a quick service Disney offering. You choose your seats too, so my recommendation would be to have one member of your party go find seating while the other orders / picks up the food.

Does La Cantina de San Angel take dining plans?

Dining plans are currently unavailable for La Cantina at this time. This is a temporary hold though, so I expect this to change in the future.

Disney dining tips from Jenna Loves Magic

Remember: for any sit-down dinner or character meal, I recommend to definitely book 60 days out, or whenever your Disney dining dates open.

If you’re staying on site, you can book dining reservations earlier as a perk.

Don’t have reservations? Check regularly during your trip, on the app, or walk up to the restaurant early in the day and request a day-of reservation. Disney reservations are often dropped day-of since sometimes people “hoard them”.

I once was a walk-up and was told there would be a 90 minute wait for a table at Steakhouse 71.

Not a problem, since it’s an interesting hotel to walk around and they have an arcade.

Anyways, within 5 minutes my reservation was ready because someone canceled. So you never know.

Also see my other favorites on this list of the best places to eat at Disney World. (coming soon)

Hope that answers all your questions about La Cantina de San Angel in Epcot.
